This game is awsome! I really want android support for the game, I think it will work really well with the game, and android support means more players. Thanks!
Had a lot of fun playing this. Managed to figure out a few strategies, but I do wish I was better at launching it around quickly. I think I've played one or two of your other games, and I can't wait to keep playing more! These are so fun and well-made! Keep it up!
I am a HUGE fan of the concept, controls, music, and gameplay loop. The tension of a mid-air punt to another platform feels like virtual volleyball played with a darling little loaf of bread. Unfortunately, the lack of fullscreen mode for in-browser play is a considerable buzzkill and winds up stopping the action on a lot of quick-turn maneuvers. I'll give the downloadable version a try when I'm next on a windows computer, which I presume would fix this issue, but as an in-browser demo, this one needs to accommodate for the movements it requires of the player. Great work so far!!
This would be fun if there was a way to fullscreen it and keep the mouse from going outside the window. I dealt with it for a while but it really started to piss me off about half-way through all the levels.
Hello! There are no plans for gamepad support currently.
Adding gamepad support is a pretty big undertaking and isn't one I have the time or desire to do right now. I'm super sorry if you're unable to enjoy it because of that.
Yk, I am actually a bit curious to know the difficulties in integrating gamepad support here. Realistically, you only need input from 2 things, an analog stick and a button to do anything. (I would prob have to cross-reference between your own player input code and the gamepad documentation for Windows (XInput API) and Linux (Joystick/evdev APIs) to know all of the nuance...)
I did read up on something called SDL_GameController, which should resolve a lot of the problems with supporting multiple controllers, but it is a C-based input library, and I don't know what language Breadskate is developed in
The game was built with mouse in mind, so adding controller support would mean re-writing some of the core systems to work with both mouse and gamepad which, while not a difficult task, is very time consuming. As I said above, currently dont have to desire or time to do it.
So fun! Most of the levels in world 1 you can skip like half the course by bouncing off the green bouncers with no momentum, and then switching directions to go straight to the finish. I got a par 7 in 2 with this trick. :)
Talk about crazy, but needs fullscreen if dragging off the screen won't let me do each "putt"
Edit: I was getting frustrated at the reaction time I needed, so I plugged in my gamepad, but the game does not support it. CHANGE THIS! If you need a good idea for what to do, left stick handles direction at putt strength, while A fires. That is ALL I need here...
Had lots of fun with it, such an amazing simple concept and really well done. I struggled a lot on 2-10 for some reason, still havent been able to beat it. Not sure if I just am doing something wrong
Part of the problem is that the only analogue input you get is your mouse cursor, which makes it so unless you are an OSU player, you're kinda fucked out of reacting in time to hit only the necessary clocks on 2-10
Thanks! I have just discovered the spam shots technique over water a few days ago, I have used it in many levels in my new PB run but not on this one yet!
2-1: Easy clock skip if you time your shot well, you get a 1 sec window to get it though 2-5: If you hit the first clock, then immediately go up, you can cross the bridge in time! 2-8: You could have trimmed some time if you did not flinch! 2-9: ditto 3-3: MASSIVE time loss 3-9 Might have been able to abuse a jump pad to not grab any crystals here
is there any way to turn the game to full screen? it hangs and loses precious seconds when the mouse goes out of bounds. But I love the frenetic nature of it :)
Not sure if it's a visual bug, but in level two, if you try to jump all the way to the end (drag the arrow all the way to the corner) , when the bread hits the platform, it's drawn in front, making it look like it's hitting the top of the platform

awsome game
the only thing about this game is my mouse keeps going out of the box, just a full screen option would work wonders
Blazingly fast!
Tf was i thinking here😭
#when will bro add level editor?
will you ever put the soundtrack of this game on soundcloud or Spotify?
Hey, just reminding you a couple months later to PLEASE add gamepad support! Reflexive gameplay is best suited to gamepads here...

What an amazing game! I had such a fun time playing it that I attempted to speedrun it! I'm pretty proud of the many skips I found on my own.
omg a speedrun!!!! this is all ive ever wanted.... thank you for playing :)
SPEEDRUN TECHNIQUE that I discovered: https://pin.it/4VtPExChX
The tech is usable almost anywhere.
Really sorry for the very bad quality of the video, I filmed with my phone 🙏
Thanks! I have just discovered the spam shots technique over water a few days ago, I have used it in many levels in my new PB run but not on this one yet!
That spam shot on 2-5 seemed to cost you time rather than gain you any...
Also, a spam-shot on 3-6 would have been faster fyi
2-1: Easy clock skip if you time your shot well, you get a 1 sec window to get it though
2-5: If you hit the first clock, then immediately go up, you can cross the bridge in time!
2-8: You could have trimmed some time if you did not flinch!
2-9: ditto
3-3: MASSIVE time loss
3-9 Might have been able to abuse a jump pad to not grab any crystals here
absolutely gorgeous UI and super fun spin on golfing mechanics..., wow!
also this soundtrack is incredible.
In 1-10 u can completely skip the level with the first jump
there are skips in so many maps that im starting to wonder if they are intended.
fr. One of the world 1 levels you can do in 2 shots when it's par 8. (level 1-8)
there isn’t a way to full screen it on web sorry ;-;
goooooooooood pleas part 2
is there any way to turn the game to full screen? it hangs and loses precious seconds when the mouse goes out of bounds. But I love the frenetic nature of it :)
there isn’t a way to full screen it on web sorry ;-;
You should be able to if you download the windows version though!
linux user here, but there are ways :)
i use linux mint so its impossible to download it so i play it online
Download the file, then run it in steam with compat settings
Not sure if it's a visual bug, but in level two, if you try to jump all the way to the end (drag the arrow all the way to the corner) , when the bread hits the platform, it's drawn in front, making it look like it's hitting the top of the platform
Cool game
This game is epic!
so real
