i don't know who you are or where you got the idea from, but plz don't destroy this game - the play style and idea is balanced with moving, taking damage outside the circle while the circle is hell to small with 4HP to survive as a beginner (mind adding perks up to 6 HP? just an idea of mine) and confusing the player with too many moving particles when destroying enemies (that's a big plus NOT a minus) - i don't know if you should add auto-shoot (i personally don't), but if so, add it with a separate key bound or Dubble mouse click - im looking forward to more updates in the future tho! greetings TUNO ~
i think the whole point is to distract you with the particles!
even if they are absolutely not nessessary- moving anywhere while you are in a small area constantly avoiding to be hit and because you only have 4 hp while each wave gets bigger and more out of control you need to have a fast working brain and hands while bullets and/or enemies moving towards ya - i think the hole idea is ment to make this deam difficult- not to entertain and "let us just playβ like to reach perfect score 1. try!

lol. I do think there is a good balance between confusing graphics and playability but I think this game overdoes it just a bit. If you start not being able to tell the difference between an obstacle and a particle there is a problem.
well of course, you're right that this IS a problem, and YES it is not good, overwhelmed with something is never good, still i think and there is absolutely no problem if you think otherwise that the colours in white gives the player enough information when a bullet is send, and where it goes, the rest is making it harder to spot- still, feel free to explain (only if you want to) what explicitly could make the game better for my understanding
Got a high score of 112100. This is awesome (especially for a one day jam, like what!). It's addictive in the best way possible. It looks and sounds so satisfying as well.
Like others have already said though, enemies can spawn on you resulting in a lot of situations where loosing hp feels impossible and while the effects are really satisfying, they are also really distracting and can make it hard to tell what's going on.
Really awesome but sometimes I'd be shooting when the level ends and my bullets would continue and inadvertently hit and break one of the upgrades choosing it without me really wanting it.
Visuals are clean and polished but the room size is to tight and the visuals are distracting. You could make all of the enemies and player smaller that would help a lot. That's all id say this game needs.
The visual identity is really cool, I really love the use of colors.
I will say the gameplay currently leaves a lot to be desired, half the time I can't see anything with the constant spray of same-color particles. Generally the best strategy to deal with the 3 enemies I have seen is to just kite as far away as possible around the big circle, but that means you just lose sight of your own ship in a game where visibility is already difficult.
The upgrade selection can be frustrating since all you really want is enough damage to kill things at a satisfying pace but the game will sometimes just not give that to you and only give you score mods, which makes the pace of the game very slow when you can't acquire any damage, and is somewhat antithetical to what I think the game is trying to achieve gamefeel wise.
That being said these type of balance issues are very easy to fix with a tiny bit of iteration which I understand is precious time spent during a game jam.
I would definitely play a post-jam version! It was very cool overall...

As awesome as I think this is, I also think the readability of the game is impacted tremendously with how pretty much everything is the same shade of red-ish-pink

The game is fun... my only criticism is TOO MANY particles. They look cool sometimes but they are more confusing than cool looking.

enemies should spawn on the edges to make the player not able to just circle around the whole time and so they dont spawn on the player.
Very interesting, but the enemies are spawning on my character, and this so weird.

Also, enemies will occasionally spawn on top of me damaging me. Some kind of radius restriction for spawning would be good.

Really challenging, maybe too much and hard to see what is going on, but very fun to play and with good visual effects.
